PCS1 selects Integral Access to deliver innovative IP Based Network for Voice and Data Services.

North Hollywood, CA, - (BUSINESS WIRE) – FEBRUARY 14, 2005 - PCS1, a industry leading provider of enhanced telecommunications services to small and medium businesses, today announced that they have selected the Integral Access PurePacket access gateway to support their facilities-based migration to a multiservice VoIP network. PCS1 will use their new network to facilitate their transition from a UNE-P provider and exploit the technology and cost advantages of VoIP as they look to expand their business in California and beyond. PCS1, currently one of the nations fastest growing CLEC’s, supports more than 75,000 lines in California.

Recent FCC rulings on UNE-P rates have forced competitive carriers like PCS1 to build and manage their own facilities-based networks. Devin Semler, Chief Executive Officer explains, "PCS1 maintains a 10 year history of providing premium and highly reliable services to businesses at an affordable price. While the current regulatory environment is seeking to reduce competition for the incumbents, PCS1 is leveraging our superior pioneering spirit and technological innovation to meet the challenge and deliver the best services available in the industry today."

The Integral Access PurePacket solution will provide collocation presence in offices throughout California to access local loops, delivering a wide array of service interface options including POTS, symmetric and asymmetric DSL and T1. The ability to support both softswitch and circuit-switched call control simultaneously, and the ability to convert and carry traffic on a single, unified IP layer ensures the maximum network efficiency and service flexibility. "We will leverage the Integral Access PurePacket multi-service platform to offer a full portfolio of voice, data and video services to SME’s. The bandwidth efficiencies, VoIP capabilities and service management advantages will enable us to clearly differentiate our service offerings, reduce our network and operational costs and counter the instability in the regulatory environment." Said Josh Ploude, CTO of PCS1. "The PurePacket platform also allows for remote, per customer service level agreements (SLA’s), enabling unmanned offices and eliminating truck rolls, while also allowing services to be highly and quickly customized to customer needs."

Subash Khurana, PCS1 COO adds, "Our business migration to a facilities based provider will require absolute fixation on customer needs, with an unprecedented ability to deliver cutting edge services, when needed, at the lowest cost and with highest quality possible."

Integral Access, headquartered in Chelmsford, Massachussets, views the relationship with PCS1 as an outstanding opportunity to partner with an industry leader, and further demonstrate how the PurePacket solution can facilitate the profitable evolution of the UNE-P business model. "We are proud that PCS1 has selected Integral Access,” said Jack Cicon, Chief Executive Officer and President of Integral Access. “ We believe that PurePacket is the ideal product for PCS1’s business expansion, and are quite excited to be part of their deployment efforts."
