Certacom to Sell and Support PurePacket™ Access Network Solution

CHELMSFORD, Mass., USA - Oct. 29, 2001 - Integral Access, Inc. -- the intelligent MPLS access network company -- today announced that it has entered into a strategic marketing, sales, and support agreement with Certacom Ltd. Under terms of the agreement, Certacom will supply the Integral Access PurePacket family of multi-service access products to telecommunications service providers in the United Kingdom (UK). The IP/MPLS-based PurePacket solution allows network operators to deliver integrated voice, video, and broadband data services over a single access line to business and residential customers. This partnership enables network operators in the UK to cost-effectively meet the demand for converged voice and data services. Certacom and Integral Access will demonstrate the PurePacket system at the TMA 2001 Conference in Brighton, England, Stand M253, from October 29 through October 31.

The PurePacket platform, which uses the Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) standard to maximize the traffic carrying capacity of access networks and manage quality of service (QoS), enables carriers to create a wide range of offerings, each with its own Service Level Agreement (SLA). PurePacket allows service providers to take advantage of the operational efficiencies of IP-based access network technology today, and migrate at their own pace from legacy voice infrastructures to all packet networks.
