Integral Access Expands International Presence with Distribution Partnerships in Taiwan and the UK

Leading Distributors to Sell and Support PurePacket™ Access Network Solution to Service Providers in Asia and Europe

CHELMSFORD, Mass. - Oct. 29, 2001 - Integral Access, Inc. -- the intelligent MPLS access network company -- today announced that it has expanded its presence in key international markets and entered into strategic partnerships with two leading distributors in Taiwan and the United Kingdom (UK). Under terms of the agreements, UK-based Certacom Ltd., and Taiwan-based Tailyn, will provide the Integral Access PurePacket family of multi-service products to telecommunications service providers in their respective markets who are building next generation local access networks. In addition to these new partnerships, Integral Access is also working with Quante AG to jointly develop and supply the PurePacket solution to carriers in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. The IP/MPLS-based PurePacket solution allows network operators to deliver integrated voice, video, and broadband data services over a single access line to business and residential customers.

These partnerships enable Integral Access to penetrate new international markets, and allow network operators to cost-effectively deploy new generation IP-based multi-service access networks that support both SoftSwitch, and traditional circuit switched voice infrastructures. By working with leading distributors like Certacom and Tailyn, Integral Access will ensure local service and support for PurePacket customers.

The PurePacket platform, which uses the Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) standard to maximize the traffic carrying capacity of access networks, and manage quality of service (QoS), enables carriers to create a wide range of offerings, each with its own Service Level Agreement (SLA).
