Chelmsford, Mass., USA -- Dec. 10, 2001 -- Integral Access®, Inc., the intelligent MPLS access network company -- today announced that it has entered into a strategic marketing, sales, and support agreement with Dominion Ingeniería. Under terms of the agreement, Dominion Ingeniería will supply the Integral Access PurePacket family of multi-service access products to telecommunications service providers in Spain and Portugal. The IP/MPLS-based PurePacket solution allows network operators to deliver integrated voice, video and broadband data services over a single access line to business and residential customers. This partnership enables network operators to cost-effectively meet the demand for converged voice and data services.

The PurePacket platform, which uses the Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) protocol to maximize the traffic carrying capacity of access networks and manage quality of service (QoS), enables carriers to create a wide range of offerings each with its own Service Level Agreement (SLA). PurePacket allows service providers to take advantage of the operational efficiencies of IP-based access network technology today, and migrate at their own pace from legacy voice infrastructures to an all packet network.
