Integral Access to Discuss Service Management in IP-Based Public Networks
at Three Events in October
Executives to Address Strategies for Managing Customer Care, and Service
Level Agreements in Next Generation Access Networks
CHELMSFORD, Mass. - Sep. 26, 2001 - Integral
Access®, Inc. -- -- the intelligent MPLS access company -- today announced
that it will present at three prominent industry events in October to
discuss the approaches, challenges, and opportunities associated with
managing multi-service IP-based access networks. Integral Access executives
will deliver sessions on OSS (Operational Support System) solutions for
packet-based public networks, delivering integrated services over MPLS
(Multi Protocol Label Switching), and managing QoS (Quality of Service)
in all IP networks. Integral Access develops packet-based access network
systems, under the PurePacket brand, that use the MPLS and VoMPLS
standards to guarantee service level agreements.
The company is a founding member of the MPLS
Forum, an industry-wide association whose mission is to accelerate interoperability
and deployment of MPLS and its associated technologies. Integral Access
chaired the Application and Deployment Working Group of the MPLS Forum,
and edited the Voice over MPLS (VoMPLS) specification, which was recently
ratified as a standard. VoMPLS enables service providers to very efficiently
transport voice services across IP/MPLS networks, manage call quality,
and optimize bandwidth utilization in resource constrained access networks.
This new standard is expected to spur vendor innovation and carrier deployment
of MPLS-based communications equipment.
