Integral Access offers service providers a next generation, multi-service access solution to deliver a broad portfolio of voice services, using a next generation SoftSwitch model. PurePacket provides an access gateway function under the control of a SoftSwitch Call Agent using MGCP as the call control protocol. PurePacket supports a complete set of tradition voice services, such as POTS, Custom Calling (CCF), CLASS, and Centrex features that are required when a SoftSwitch is used to replace a Class 5 switch. PurePacket also provides support for termination of analog and digital PBXs and key systems using FXS/FXO or digital T1/E1 subscriber side interfaces. Not only does PurePacket support today's telephony services, but PurePacket has been designed to enable delivery of enhanced voice and multi-media services using a SoftSwitch model. PurePacket's multi-service access capabilities coupled with Quality of Service mechanisms assure a service provider of toll-quality delivery for enhanced services, living up to the expectations set by today's traditional voice services and carrier networks. Click here to see larger image Customer access to SoftSwitch services are provided by direct FXS line termination in the PurePacketNode®, a carrier class access aggregation device, or from FXS, FXO, or T1E1 interfaces on PurePacketOutburst® Integrated Access Device (IAD) deployed on the customer's premise. Where applicable in multi-tenant or campus environments, the PurePacketCompact provides the same service capabilities as the PurePacketNode. In the SoftSwitch model, a PurePacketNode will be deployed in a service provider's Central Office to provide connectivity with the service provider's "managed" backbone network for the transport of packetized voice (Voice over IP). A variety of backbone network interfaces (e.g. Ethernet, Clear channel TDM, Packet over SONET, ATM or MPLS) are available as appropriate for a service provider's transport network. Product specifications can be found on the PurePacketNode datasheet. Finally, as noted in the Legacy Voice section, PurePacket delivers service providers a smooth transition path from voice services available in a traditional Class 5 circuit switched model without equipment forklifts or change-outs. This is accomplished by the reuse of the common access portfolio. |
